All vendor fees remain the same for each location with varying times. Also, different this year, due to rising costs, vendors at Harris Park are being asked to bring their own tables and 2 chairs with the exception of food vendors. If you do not have a table and need to purchase one, please let us know by November 22, 2024, so that we will have enough time to order tables.
At the Grand Ballroom, tables will be provided for all vendors.
Fees for both (2) Day Events Merchandise Vendor $200. Food Vendor $350. Service Fee $ 50
Table size -6ft only. Tables in the “pit” are limited to 1 per vendor due to expected performances in this area.
1 table is preferred due to limited space indoors. If two tables are desired, strict adherence to the “no more than 6ft” rule per table will be followed. A second table will also be a determinant of location and an additional fee of $50 will be assessed. Table covers are required and must be provided by the vendor.
Chairs: Bring only 2 Racks: No racks are allowed in the “Pit” area, nor are multiple tables. Clothing racks or any other racks should not exceed 6ft long or protrude out into the floor space more than 2 1/2 feet. (The depth of your table)

Unload your things at the rear of the Grand Ballroom in their Parking Lot (entrance off of 64th Street east of Cottage Grove Ave. - 2nddoor). Small freight elevator in the rear inside the building.
** Remember Vendors fees are the same for both locations whether you choose to work the day or night shift or both shifts!
** All tables and chairs for the Ballroom will be provided by Ballroom.
** No additional tables outside the 1 provided.
** Space for only 9 Vendors. Only 1 or 2 clothing Vendors.
The Grand Ballroom---Break Down Time December 8th, (Saturday night) 12 AM; midnight Grand Ballroom Rear Parking Lot (entrance off of 64th Street, East of Cottage Grove.)
Donations: Each year during the Pre-Kwanzaa Event, we humbly ask the vendors to donate 1 of their products to be used this year, for our Senior “Let’s Make a Deal Bingo,” Friday, December 6, 2024.

This contract shall be deemed to have been made in the State of Illinois and shall be interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of Illinois. All legal actions to enforce this agreement shall be brought into the courts of Cook County, Illinois, and the exhibitor agrees to the jurisdiction of the Illinois Courts & Laws.
I, the undersigned, agree to uphold all rules and regulations of the African Festival of the Arts (AFA), Chicago Park District, the City of Chicago, and the State of Illinois. I understand that the AFA reserves the right to expel me, with no refunds, if and when I do anything to damage the quality, reputation, character or if I engage in any illegal
activity or cause problems to the management of the AFA, the sponsors, and other vendors/exhibitors.
I further fully release and discharge, and hold harmless the AFA, Africa International House (AIH) and its officers, staff, employees & agents, all sponsors, Chicago Park District, the City of Chicago, and the State of Illinois from any and all claims from injuries, including death, damages or loss of property which I may have or which may impact me on account of my participation in the activities of the AFA.
I, the undersigned, further agree and grant permission to the AFA, AIH and the sponsors of the AFA to use my name, my business name, stories, images of myself and works, (photographs, videos, slides, etc.) for advertising, publicity and promotional purposes, via print, electronics, cable, and the Internet.
I further release and discharge any claim to payment for the use of any imagery of my likeness, artwork, or unlicensed products. AIH, the AFA, and its officers, staff, and agents will not assume liability for any act of God, natural disaster, exposure to adverse weather and conditions, damages, injuries or any legal authority, war, insurrection, civil disobedience, criminal acts, or any cause above and beyond the control of AIH, the AFA and the officers, agents, employees, sponsors, and the City of Chicago and Chicago Park District.
